Monsignor Lavoie was born on January 20, 1928 and passed away on Friday, May 12, 2017.

Monsignor Lavoie was a resident of Maine at the time of passing.

He attended SS. Peter and Paul Grammar School in Lewiston and was part of the first graduation class of St. Dominic High School which, at the time, was located in Lewiston.

On the eve of the funeral, the introductory funeral rites and wake will be in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 919 Roosevelt Trail, on Rt. 302 in Windham. The Reception of the Body with Evening Prayer from Office of the Dead, presided by Very Rev. Louis Philips, V.F., will be Sunday, May 21, 2017 at 6:00pm, with the visitation following until 8:00pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11am on Monday, May 22, 2017 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, the principal celebrant will be The Most Reverend Robert Deeley, J.C.D., Bishop of Portland. Interment will take place at a later date in the family lot at SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery in Lewiston, Maine.
