82, passed away January 8, 2018. Bob was born in Burlington on July 2, 1935 the son of Francis and Mary Ellen ( Merrill) Foley. He graduated from Cathedral High School in 1954 and Seton Hall in 1958. He served our country as a 1st lieutenant in the US Army. On October 23, 1965 he married Mary "Sue" Yarnell. Bob embarked on his real estate career in 1968 and in 1983 went out on his own and formed Foley Real Estate, retiring in May of 2000. Bob is survived by his devoted wife Sue. He was predeceased by his parents, brother Frank and sister Banba. In retirement he was able to "relax" by working on his golf game. He played many rounds both in Vermont and Florida. He also enjoyed, with his loyal crew, their Thursday night boating excursions. He was a true dog lover. Bob was the ultimate "dog's best friend" !!! Bob was known and will be remembered for his quick wit, comedic sarcasm and incredible generosity and love for his family and friends. His nephews, grand nieces and nephews will never forget the great adventures spent with Uncle Bob and Aunt Sue. Special thanks to Alan Sylvester, Harlan Sylvester and Phil Varrichionee for their friendship throughout this journey. Also Bill, Lee, David,Eric, Jay and Chris Bissonette for their support. Many thanks and appreciation to John Jurger for his friendship and dedication for the past 3 years. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday Jan. 12, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Christ the King Catholic Church Locust St in Burlington. Interment will be held in the Family Mausoleum in Resurrection Park, South Burlington at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to : Alzheimers Assoc VT, 300 Cornerstone Drive, Williston, VT 05495 or The Humane Society , 142 Kindness Ct, So. Burlington, VT 05403
