Bridgewater Robert Sturtz 90, died May 22, 2016. Robert was born in New York, New York and formerly of Hunter, New York before moving to Bridgewater in 2004. He was the owner of Sturtz Market, a grocery store, in Hunter, New York for 46 years, retiring in 1997. He was a veteran of the US Army serving at the Battle of the Bulge during World War II. Robert is a former member of the Hunter Synagogue and was a member of the Hunter Fire Department. Robert was an avid New York Mets baseball fan. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends. Surviving are his wife Elaine, a son Norman, and a daughter Donna Stobinski and her husband Marc, and a granddaughter Stephanie Zweeres and her husband Sean, and a great grandson Tyler. Graveside services will be 1030am Tuesday at Temple Sholom Cemetery, Chimney Rock Road in Bridgewater. Arrangements by Bruce C. VanArsdale Funeral Home, 111 N. Gaston Ave, Somerville.
