ROBERT WOODROW LENOX, 92, died Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at his home. He was a native of Harrison County, born December 17, 1921, the son of William A. and Bessie Jolly Lenox. He was a member of the Berry United Methodist Church, a charter member of the Berry Lions Club and member of the Pythian Grove Cemetery Board. A veteran of World War II, he served in the Pacific Theatre at New Guinea and the Philippine Islands. Mr. Lenox was a retired rural letter carrier and a life-long farmer. Mr. Lenox was preceded in death by a sister, Evelyn DeMoss and a brother, Lawrence Lenox. Survivors include his wife, Dollie Bell Lenox; a son, Robert Michael (Alice) Lenox; a grandson, William Barton Lenox; a goddaughter, Stephanie (Eric) Whitson and caregivers, Barbara and Randall Dennis, Lisa Stout and Kristy Willoughby. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, February 22, 2014 at Ware Funeral Home. Internment at Pythian Grove Cemetery. Visitation 11:00 A.M. until service. In Lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Harrison County Food Pantry, c/o Margaret Watson. 204 Shimfessel Court, Cynthiana, Kentucky 41031.
