D'AMBRA, ROBERTA C. (Cavanagh), 87, of Johnston passed away peacefully June 16, 2017 at home. She was the beloved wife for 58 years of the late Vincent D'Ambra. Born in Providence a daughter of the late Benjamin and Isabel (Henriques) Cavanagh. Roberta enjoyed spending time with her family, was an avid reader, enjoyed crossword puzzles and feeding and watching the birds. She is survived by her beloved children, Carol L. Gallagher and her husband Kevin, Vincent F. D'Ambra, Peter A. D'Ambra and his wife Ann and Michael P. D'Ambra and his wife Irene. Loving grandmother of seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She was the grandmother of the late Joseph D'Ambra and the sister of the late Benjamin Cavanagh. Her funeral is Tuesday at 8:45 a.m. from ''WOODLAWN'' Funeral Home 600 Pontiac Avenue, Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Thomas Church Fruit Hill Avenue, Providence. Burial will be in St. Ann's Cemetery VISITATION MONDAY 4-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to Hope Hospice & Palliative Care of R.I. or the Alzheimer's Association.
