Rodney W. Glusac died peacefully at home on June 12, 2017 at the age of 81. He was born in Detroit on August 29, 1935; son of Kosto and Hilda (nee Orbovich) Glusac. Rodney graduated from Cass Tech High School in 1953. He married Fay Rocanas on September 24, 1960 at Holy Ascension Serbian Orthodox Church in Monroe, Michigan. Rodney was an Accountant/Controller for Price-Westen & Co. He was a talented musician, playing the bass for over 50 years with the same band mates in their Serbian Band, The Continental Tamburitzans. He was also the past president of the Serbian Singing Federation. Rodney was very active at his church, St. Lazarus. He was the former Choir Director and was affiliated in various capacities with the athletic association of the church. He also served as past president of the Band Boosters at L'Anse Creuse North High School. Rodney leaves behind his loving wife Fay and sons Rodney M. (Karen) and Thomas. He was proud of his grandson Alexander and granddaughter Melina. He was predeceased by his sister Delores Bogich and brother Ivan. He is survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 2:00 until 8:00 pm at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack Ave., at Vernier Rd., Grosse Pointe Woods. A Pomen service will be held at 7:00 pm. Rodney will lie instate on Friday from 10:00 am until the time of the funeral at 11:00 am at St. Lazarus Serbian Orthodox Church, 4575 Outer Drive, Detroit. Very Reverend Zivan Urosev will officiate.
