Roger G. Todd died on October 27, 2016. Roger was born in Los Angeles to Gifford and Georgia D. Todd on April 18, 1929.
Roger lived on the west side of Los Angeles and attended University High where he met the only woman for him - Mary Martha Tramill. They were married in Los Angeles in 1951. They celebrated 65 years of marriage this year.
Roger graduated from UCLA in 1952 where he became a member of the Sigma Nu fraternity. There he found close bonds of friendship, which he treasured his entire life. He received his Masters from USC. But even so, he always rooted for UCLA in the big game every year.
After college, Roger served as a Lieutenant in the US Navy before joining Lockheed in 1956. He worked at Lockheed in various capacities over the years, but predominately in their international sales division. It took him to several foreign postings in Hong Kong, Beirut, Saudi Arabia, Paris, Bahrain, Brussels, and Turkey. The ex-pat community has remained lifelong friends the world over. Roger and Mary retired to the Monterey area in 1994 after a thirty-eight year career.
Roger and Mary have two children, Joyce (Reid) and Blake; four grandchildren, Lauren (Patrick), Todd (Palin), Vanessa (Nicholas) and Mason and three great-granddaughters, Kate, Tess and Jane.
The family will celebrate the life of a wonderful man, a loyal and providing husband, a loving and supportive father, proud and sharing grandfather, and a blessed and joyous great-grandfather in a private gathering.
In lieu of any flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research, Grand Central Station, PO Box 4777, NY, NY, 10163.
