ROGER L. ROTH, 77, formerly of Grabill, died Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2010, at Village Oaks. Born March 10, 1931, in Fort Wayne, he was the son of Menno Roth and Mary (Myers) Roth. He was a Korean War Army veteran. He retired as Co-owner of C&C Supermarket, Grabill. After retirement, he worked for Kohl's at Northcrest for 12 years until 1987. He was a member of Harlan Church of Christ where he served as a Deacon for many years. Surviving are his daughters, Dawn (Rob) Kovacik of Plainfield, Ill. and Kim (Gary) Cooper of Leo; grandchildren, Katy and Lauren Kovacik, Megan (Joshua) Burton, Adam Cooper, and Robby Cooper; sisters, Kathleen Thomas of Fort Wayne, Betty Ream of Wabash, Jean (Lawrence) Kennedy of Huntington, and Norma (Cy) Gustin of Harlan. He was preceded in death by his wife, Pauline (who he married in 1951), in November of 2009; and brother, Max Roth. Funeral service is 2 p.m. Saturday at Harlan Church of Christ, with calling from 10 a.m. until time of service. Evangelist David Atchley officiating. Burial in Harlan Memorial Cemetery, Harlan.
