Roland L. Gamache, 92 of Merrimack, passed away on January 24, 2016 at home with his family by his side. He was born in Nashua, NH on March 8, 1923, son of the late Leo and Eva (Deroiser) Gamache.

Roland spent many years at his camp, and relished in the time he spent outdoors. He enjoyed all outdoor activities at the camp; gardening, boat rides, fishing, and cleaning the yard. He loved to split wood, and took great pride in heating his camp with his wood stove. He enjoyed time on his swing while visiting with friends and hosting happy hour. He liked using his tractor to help his camp friends take their boats in and out of the lake each summer. In his younger years, he spent many winter weekends ice fishing, hunting and snowmobiling. Later, he spent many winters in Florida with his friend Dolly, where they participated in a bowling league and socializing with friends. 4th of July was his favorite holiday, and he loved hosting parties and fireworks for friends and family. He loved his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren very much, and took great pride in bragging about their accomplishments and talents.

Roland is survived by his daughter Michelle Richard and her husband Peter, Daughter in-law, Kathryn Boyd, brother, Raymond Robichaud, four grandchildren, Amy Gamache Turner and her husband Paul, Todd Gamache and his wife Betsy, David Richard and his wife Rachel, and Andrew Richard. He is also survived by his loving companion, Dolly Torosian, six great grandchildren, Kathryn, Ashley, Amanda, Sarah, Peter, Bailey, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Cecile in 1994, his son Roland "Pete" Gamache.

Visiting hour will be held on Friday, January 29, 2016 from 8:45AM-9:45AM at the Zis-Sweeney Funeral Home, 26 Kinsley St. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:00AM at St. Louis De Gonzague Parish, 48 W. Hollis St. Burial will follow at St. Louis Cemetery.
