Dr. Ronald "Ronnie" Kent Koogler (Doc), 79, of West Milton, OH, passed away Friday January 1st at Good Samaritan Hospital. A celebration of his life service will be held Sunday, January 10th at Tobias Funeral Home, 675 W. Wenger Rd, Englewood, OH 45322. A time of gathering and visitation will be held from 2pm to 4pm with the service to follow at 4pm. Messages of support may be made at: www.tobiasfuneralhome.com. Ronnie is survived by his two sons, Jeffrey Kent Koogler of Englewood, OH, Steven Craig Koogler and his wife Meredith of Deltona, FL and daughter Lori Lee Koogler of Nashville, TN; five grandchildren, Derek Koogler and his wife Rachel of Springdale, OH, Collin Koogler and his wife Donna of Goshen, IN, Alyssa Koogler Hicks and her husband Justin of Cambridge, MA, Ashley Koogler of Colorado Springs and Caleb Koogler of Deltona, FL; three great grandchildren, Lena Koogler, Roman Koogler and Nona Koogler along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and other family. Ronnie was born May 2nd, 1936, and grew up in West Milton, OH. He graduated West Milton High School where he played and excelled in baseball, football, track and basketball. From there Ronnie attended Ohio State University where he graduated from the School of Dentistry in 1961. Ronnie was an avid Buckeye football fan right up until his passing. After school he opened a dental practice in Arcanum, OH where he was also President of the booster club and contributed in many other ways to the small town community. Ronnie spent most of his free time watching one of his children and later on his grandchildren play football, baseball, softball, basketball, volleyball or soccer. On many Sundays you could find Ronnie with friends on the golf course. Ronnie loved his family very much and gave his life to them in every way. He was the true meaning of dad and grandpa.
