Somerset Ronald N. (Ron) York Sr. 70, died March 28, 2011. Born in Somerset, NJ, Ron was raised in South River before moving back to Somerset in 1971. In his early years he was employed with his uncle as a master electrician for Warren York Electrical Company. Then in 1973 Ron started his own business, Ron York & Sons Electrical Contractors in Somerset. He attended the Montgomery Evangelical Free Church in Belle Mead and has been a life time member of the conservative John Birch Society. In his spare time, Ron enjoyed attending many local political functions and was an avid Franklin Township High School sport fan. He was a loving husband father, brother and grandfather and will be sadly missed by his family and friends. Surviving are his devoted wife of 43 years, Faith Havens, his son Ronald Jr. and his wife Carrie, a daughter Tracie York Beauchamp, 3 brothers James and Barry York and Alfred Stashek, 2 sisters, Bonnie Skurka and Linda Latzsch, 2 grandchildren, Emma and Ronald Nathan York and mother in law Jessie Havens and step-mother Lillian Paris. Funeral services will be 10am Saturday April 2, 2011 at the Montgomery Evangelical Free Church, 246 Belle Mead Griggstown Rd, Belle Mead (908)874-4634. Interment will follow at Mount Rest Cemetery in Butler. Visitation will be 6-9pm Friday at the Bruce C. Van Arsdale Funeral Home, 111 N. Gaston Ave. Somerville, 908-725-3111.
