Ronnie Atwood Landry passed away Friday, March 30, 2018 in Hammond, La. He was 64 years old. He was born on April 15, 1953 in Baton Rouge, La. and was a lifelong resident of Hammond, La

Ronnie is survived by his wife of 27 years Geisha A. Landry, mother Nancy Tilton Landry, sisters Marcy Landry Green, and Charlotte Landry Kleinpeter and husband, Francis Michael, Jr. of Watson, nephews John Davis Green, Jr. of Ponchatoula, and godson Francis Michael Kleinpeter, III of Watson, nieces Mary Caitlin Kleinpeter of Watson, and Marsha Green Goodrich and husband, Shaun Alan of Charlotte, N.C. and their children Mason Riley, Connor Alan and Graham Atwood, step-daughter Andrea Lea Avant and husband, Christopher Louis, Sr. of Denham Springs and their children Destiney Nicole McAllister of New Orleans, Christopher Louis, Jr. and Chloe Grace of Denham Springs, and step-son Matthew Allen Lea of Lafayette.

He was preceded in death by his father Charles Edward Landry, uncle Joshua Atwood Tilton IV, and brother-in-law John Davis Green, Sr.

Friends and family will be received Wednesday, April 4, 2018 from 1:00 to 3:00 pm until Funeral Service begins at 3:00 pm. at First Presbyterian Church in Hammond, officiated by Reverend Jim Stayton.

Interment will follow in the Rose Memorial Park Cemetery Hammond, La. Pallbearers will be Punk Penton, Brian Edmonston, Ken Burch, Gino Chirico, John Green, Jr., and F. Michael Kleinpeter, III. Honorary pallbearers are Don Lea and Glenn Nunenmacher. After burial, all are invited back to gather at the church.

Ronnie was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. He started working with his father and grandfather at Landry's Automotive Parts when young. After graduating from Southeastern La University he began a lifelong career as an insurance examiner. In his life, he was an avid golfer, fisherman, and runner. Nothing gave him greater pleasure than being with his family and taking them out to dinner or cooking on the grill. He was always there for anyone who needed his help. Ronnie was deeply spiritual, and through good times and bad, always held that life is a precious gift. He will be greatly missed.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation.
