ROSA B. ECKLER, age 76, passed away peacefully at the University of Kentucky Hospital in Lexington on January 11, 2018 surrounded by family after a long battle with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease). She was born on March 29, 1941 in Rockcastle County to the late Viola and Elbert B. Robinson. Rosa spent her life loving and caring for her husband, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Gilbert Grant Robinson, Kenneth Ray Robinson and Thomas Elbert Robinson and her grandson, Zack Eckler. Survivors include, her husband of 47 years, Carlos Dale Eckler; two sons, Donald Lenz, Winchester and Tony (Stacie) Eckler Cynthiana; a daughter, Debbie (George) Walters, Cynthiana, six grandchildren, Donald Ray Lenz Jr., Brandon (Sarah) Shaw, Autumn (Phillip) Sexton, Amber Walters, Sierra Eckler and Tanner Eckler and seven great grandchildren, Jack, Karlie, Maddy, Clay, Gavin, Trenton and Raylee. Funeral services will be conducted 12:00 P.M. Tuesday at Ware Funeral Home by Evan Myer. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Monday. Burial will be in Pythian Grove Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to ALS Association Kentucky, c/o Patricia Peak, Chapter, 8640 Haines Drive, Suite F, Florence, Kentucky 41042.
