Mrs. Rosemary Jean May, age 76, of Powder Springs, GA, formally of Port Neches, Texas, passed away on Thursday, April 13, 2017. Mrs. May was born on September 13, 1940 in Ceylon, Australia, a daughter of the late Vincent Alexander Salvador and Gladys Buttery Salvador.
Mrs. May moved from Australia to Canada in her mid-twenties; following her move she met and married the love of her life, Dr. Norman Chalmers May. The two moved to the United States and settled in Texas, where they would build a wonderful life together. Rosemary spent her days taking care of her children and being a devoted wife to her husband. In her spare time she enjoyed playing tennis, gardening, and spending time with those she loved. Mrs. May was a wonderful wife, sister, mother, and grandmother; she will certainly be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Mrs. May is preceded in death by her only son, Andrew William May.
She is survived by her loving husband of fifty years, Dr. Norman May; one daughter, Jackie Traster, husband Jason of Powder Springs; one sister, whom she deeply cherished, Christine Hyde, husband Dalziel of Australia; and three grandchildren, Michael Traster, Matthew Traster, and Ryan Traster.
A memorial service to honor the life of Mrs. May will be held at two o'clock in the afternoon on Saturday, April 15, 2017 in the Chapel of Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends from twelve o'clock in the afternoon until the time of service on Saturday, April 15, 2017 at the funeral home.
