Rosie Lee Sanford, 90, a loving wife, mother and grandmother passed away peacefully Friday August 11, 2017. Rosie was born September 22, 1926 in Durant, Oklahoma to Bodle and Mary Wiley. She grew up on a farm in Hollis, Oklahoma with two sisters and two brothers. Rosie married Bob Sanford, also of Hollis on April 9, 1950. They eventually settled in Lubbock, Texas where she worked for Lubbock ISD until the family moved to Fort Worth, TX in 1970. She retired from Fort Worth ISD after seventeen years as a school secretary. Rosie and Bob were devoted Members of University Baptist Church. She was an avid gardener winning Yard of the Month multiple times. Rosie was a wonderful cook, decorator, seamstress and loved to travel. She was totally dedicated to her family and many friends. Rosie will be deeply missed by all who knew her.





She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Bob Sanford; brother Wesley Wiley, and sister Louise Scott.



She is survived by daughter Susan Sanford McCord and her husband Mark McCord; son Mike Sanford; grandchildren Ryan McCord and Krista McCord; sister Frances Heflin; brother G.B. Wiley and numerous nieces and nephews.



Visitation: Sunday, August 13, 2017 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Laurel Land Funeral Home.



Services: Monday, 11:00 am at Laurel Land Chapel of Chimes. Interment will follow in Laurel Land Memorial Park.
