Mrs. Roslyn Kirshner Lavine, 89, passed away on March 24, 2016 at Whitestone Care and Wellness Center after a long and courageous battle with Parkinson's disease. She was the oldest daughter of the late William and Hannah Rosen Kirshner of Nashville, TN; loving wife of the late Howard Lavine; beloved mother of Judy Smith (Russell) of Washington, D.C., Audrey Lavine (Clark Kee) of New York City, and Wendy Lavine of Greensboro, NC; dear grandmother of Harris Smith of Brooklyn, NY; adored sister of Benita Brown (James H.) of Nashville, TN and the late Adele Pilsk (Berle Pilsk of San Francisco, CA): many loving nieces and nephews, Doug Page, Chrissy Olson and friends too numerous to count.

She was active in synagogue, civic and community groups and was known for her infinite patience and generosity. Roslyn was best known as a teacher of knitting and needlework at the Stitch Point for over 30 years.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, March 28th, 11:00 a.m. at the Greensboro Hebrew Cemetery with Rabbi Eliezer Havivi officiating. Additional Memorial Celebration will be held on Sunday, April 3rd, 2:00 p.m. at Beth David Synagogue.
