Roy was born May 9th, 1934 to Lena Mae and Russell B Logan at their home in North Kansas City, Clay County, Missouri. He grew up in Winnwood, Avondale, and N.K.C. areas. He attended and graduated from Brookwood Elementary, and N.K.C. High School, at N.K.C.H.S. he majored in football, track, music, and math. He continued his education at the University of Missouri in Mechanical Engineering. He entered the work force at the Chance Vought Aircraft Corp in 1957 in Dallas Texas. He provided his engineering services to companies as Conair, Ling-Temco-Vought, and the Boeing Co. He provided design concepts for B-58 "Hustler", F-106 Aircraft programs, "Minuteman", "Saturn V Missile" systems, 747, and S.S.T. aircraft designs. He retired from T.E.S. Inc. in Phoenix, Arizona. He retired from the U.S. Airforce Reserves after 20 years of service as a Loadmaster Technical Sargent for the C-141 aircraft. Roy was an avid bowler and golfer and a cleanup volunteer for the Sun City Homeowners Association. He was a metal mason in the Utica lodge No 75 F.E.A.M., Southfield Michigan. He married his high school sweetheart Carlotta Wright in 1954 was still his love for 63 years. Their children Larry Logan (deceased), Victoria Sorensen, Norman Logan, and Alan Logan, grandchildren Daniel Sorensen, Brian Sorensen, Jim Rafferty, Amanda Rafferty, Carla (Logan), Roy Logan II, and Jenefer Logan and two brothers of North Kansas City, Missouri Charles R. Logan and Arthur E. Logan. The family wishes to thank all the care givers for their sincere dedicated service not only to Roy but to Carlotta as well, and the professional services of Condit and Associates.
