Ruben Quezada Sr., 82, of Ahwatukee, Arizona was welcomed into Heaven on the evening of May 11, 2014. Ruben was born in Globe, Arizona on April 20, 1932. Ruben went on to proudly serve his country in the United States Army and fought in the Korean War. Ruben retired from the Arizona Distributing Company as a truck driver and was a proud member of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters. Ruben loved dancing and traveling and loved watching title boxing fights, NFL and MLB games. He is preceded in death by his loving wife Esther Galvan Quezada. Ruben is survived by his three sons and two daughters; Ruben Jr., Arthur (Glenda), Ramon (Bonnie), Anna (Edward), Eva (Alton). He is also survived by his brothers George and Louis Quezada. Ruben is lovingly remembered by his 15 grandchildren; Christopher and Stephen, Arthur, Joseph, Stephanie and Daniel, Joshua and Nicole, Edward, JonPaul and Dominique, Bianca, Ashley, Fred and Briana and 20 great grandchildren; Evie, Kiera and Stephen, Cristian, Micah and Savanah, Miles, Xavier, Alex, Sophia and Jaquelyn, Jacob and Andrew, Noah and Joseph, Mavryk, Elisabet, Anthony, Marisa and Aiden and 3 great grandchildren-to-be. A viewing will be held 8:30AM, Saturday, May 17, 2014 at Carr-Tenney Mortuary, 2621 S. Rural Rd., Tempe Arizona 85282, followed by mass at the Church of the Resurrection, 3201 S. Evergreen Rd., Tempe Arizona 85282. He will be laid to rest at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery, 2033 N. 48th St., Phoenix Arizona 85008. A Celebration of Life will the follow at the American Legion Post 41 in the Ronda Room, 725 S. 2nd Avenue, Phoenix, Arizona.
