RUBY RIVERS was born January 3, 1924 in Timmonsville, South Carolina to Albert and Geneva Rivers. The youngest of 16 brothers and sisters, all of who preceded her in death, Ruby entered into eternal rest on March 31, 2015. At an early age, she accepted Christ, becoming a member of the John Wesley Methodist Church in her hometown, and remained strong in her faith until The Lord called her home. Ruby moved to Richmond in 1958 where she worked for Quality Inn Hotels until her retirement. She will be especially remembered for her love and dedication to her family and friends, and for her reliance on her heavenly Father. The Lord's Prayer was a powerful source of strength for her throughout her life. Ruby was preceded in death by daughter, Lorie Rivers and son, Henry Rivers. She leaves to cherish her memory: son, Leroy Rivers (Joyce); daughter, Marjorie Gillus (Adolphus); son, Theodore Rivers; daughter-in-law, Barbara Rivers; 13 grandchildren, among them devoted grandson, Derick Rivers (Devonda); 33 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandkids and a host of family and friends.
