Now just who was Ruth Jean Provenzon Taylor? She was a devoted and loving sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother; a welcoming and friendly face at the Information Desk in Vassar Brothers Hospital, where she volunteered for many years before being hired as a part time employee; and she adored children, particularly babies - her own and others!

Throughout her life, Ruth took great pleasure in tending to her plants, reading, making crafts, doing Word Search puzzles, and repairing jewelry for the Thrift Shop in Winter Park, FL. She enthusiastically joined Frank in such diverse activities as skiing, roller skating, sailing, and fencing. She was a cherished friend to all who knew her.

She is predeceased by her mother, Josephine Provenzon Zullo, Orlando, FL; father Joseph Provenzon, Sidney, NY; brothers Henry Provenzon, Samuel Provenzon, and Frank Provenzon, all from Sidney, NY; sister Mary Penichter, Orlando, FL; nephew Gary DeRock, Sidney, NY; sons Glen Taylor and Steven Taylor, Beacon, NY; and two of the most wonderful dogs in the world, Wendy and Misty, Poughkeepsie, NY.

She is survived by her devoted husband, the love of her life, Frank Taylor, Maitland, FL; children Valerie Weyand, Rochester, NY and Mark Taylor, Brooklyn, NY; grandchildren Kelly (Kevin) Carleton, Rochester, NY, Zachary Taylor, Murfreesboro, TN, and Crystal Davis, Apex, NC; great-grandchildren Liam Taylor Carleton, Rochester, NY, Nimaue Taylor, Murfreesboro, TN, and Eli, Embry and Victoria Davis, Apex, NC; sister Virginia (Walter) Bennett, Winter Park, FL, as well as nieces and nephews.
