Ruth Mae Hickmon, age 88, of Searcy passed from this life on Wednesday, February 3, 2016. She was born June 17, 1927 in Marion, Virginia. She and her husband William "Bill" Hickmon moved to Searcy over 50 years ago and raised both of their sons, Dr. Adrian Hickmon and David Hickmon, in Searcy where they both still reside. She was a faithful member of Westside Church of Christ where enjoyed serving others with her love of cooking. She is survived by her daughter-in-laws JoAnna Hickmon and Donna Hickmon, also of Searcy; her seven grandchildren, Andrea Smith, Lauren DeSisso, Slade Hickmon, Michael Hickmon, Kristin Crabtree, Jordan Hickmon, and Garrett Hickmon; five great grandchildren; a sister, Josie Biggs of Little Rock; and numerous nieces. Funeral services will be conducted at Westside Church of Christ on Saturday, February 6, 2016 at 1 p.m., with visitation before the service at 12 p.m., and interment to follow at White County Memorial Gardens. All friends are welcome to attend.
