Ruth Nix, 86, of Magnolia, Arkansas passed away Thursday, March 11, 2010. She was born on October 16, 1923 in Lewisville, Arkansas to the late Joseph Anderson and Annie Pearl (Bussey) Sands. She was a cashier for many years at the Drug Mart and a member of College View Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Dale S. Nix, three brothers, and three sisters.
Ruth is survived by two sons, Sammy Nix and wife Becky of Magnolia, Arkansas, Andy Nix and wife Cheryle of Conway, Arkansas; three daughters, Nancy Powers and husband Larry of Hot Springs, Arkansas, Belinda Rogers and husband David of Garland, Texas, Patti Warner and husband Kenneth of Magnolia, Arkansas; one brother, Tommy Sands of Magnolia, Arkansas; six grandsons, Todd Patterson of Texarkana, Brad Nix of Magnolia, Shane Nix of Bodcaw, Dale A. Nix, Brian Warner, and Ben Warner all of Magnolia; five granddaughters, Pamela Ramirez of Hot Springs, Haley Phillips of El Dorado, Staci Cavazos of Dallas, Donna Nix of Little Rock, Allyson Rogers of Denton, TX; and fourteen great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Saturday, March 13, 2010 at 2:00 pm at the Lewis Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Bob Crank officiating. Burial will follow at Waldo Cemetery under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home, Inc. of Magnolia. Family visitation will be Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the College View Baptist Church or to Life Touch Hospice in Magnolia.
Pallbearers will be Thomas Nix, Danny Nix, Doug Fields, Daniel Fields, Terry Hanson, and Jack Pierce.
