Rutha M. Glover departed this life on May 24, 2017 with her family by her side. She was born in Eagle Springs, NC, July 6, 1936. Rutha was the daughter of Sadie Goins and Joseph Malloy, the sister of Haywood Goins, and she was the former wife of Evans Glover Jr., all of whom proceeded her in death.

Rutha was an active member of Gaithersburg Presbyterian Church where she served on the Lord's Table, Stephen Ministry, Mainstream Newsletter support team and church blood drives. She volunteered at the Clothes Closet at Asbury Assisted Living Community. Rutha worked for more than 30 years at Verizon, formerly Bel1 Atlantic Telephone Company, in New Jersey, where she retired in 1989.

Her interests included family, gardening and spending time with friends.

Rutha is survived by her daughter Velda; her son Anthony; her step-son Henri (Angela); grandchildren Tiffany Azim (Sharif); Adrian Glover and great-grandchildren Christian and Jordan Azim; as well as many cousins, extended family and friends.
