Samuel was a resident of Belton, Texas at the time of passing.

He graduated from Reagan Junior High and Temple High School, then Baylor University in Waco and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth.

A memorial service will be held at the First Baptist Church of Belton, 506 N. Main Street, Belton, Texas, on Thursday, October 10, at 2 p.m. under the direction of his pastor, Dr. Andy Davis. Family visitation will be held in the sanctuary foyer from 12:30 - 2 p.m. prior to the service.
