1936-2017



Sam Davee, 81, of Columbia, MO left this life for his eternal reward on Sunday, June 25, 2017 at the Missouri Veterans Home in Mexico, MO.



Visitation will be from 5-7pm, Friday, June 30 at the 1st Assembly of God Church 1100 N 7th Street Columbia. Funeral service will be 10am, Saturday, July 1 at 1st Assembly with burial to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery 1217 Business Loop 70 West, Columbia.



Sam was born March 7, 1936 in Springfield, MO to William G. and Flora S. Brown Davee. On June 24, 1956, he married Joyce Wyatt. They have two children, Brent and Joy. While serving in the Army in Korea, his love for missions work grew. He graduated from Central Bible Institute with a degree in Biblical Studies and was a credentialed Assemblies of God Minister for over 50 years. He served as pastor of two churches in Northern Missouri, in nursing home and prison ministry for 20 years, and in RV MAPS ministry building churches for 15 years. His life was faithfully devoted to God, his family, and giving to others. Sam also worked for the University of Missouri for 22 years as a Heavy Equipment Operator.



He is survived by his wife, Joyce; two children, Samuel Brent (Gina) Davee of Mexico, MO and Joy (George) Varghese of Columbia; his “two favorite people” (grandchildren), Brian (Marisa) Davee of Mexico and Kaitlyn (Zach) Craig of Little Rock, AR, many nieces and nephews, and a host of friends. His eight brothers and sisters and his parents preceded him in death.



In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the 1st Assembly of God Missions Fund.
