COLUMBIA - A funeral service for Samuel Leon Kramer, 66, will be held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel, with burial to follow in Hebrew Benevolent Society Cemetery, 720 Blanding Street. The family will receive friends from 1:45 until 2:45 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.



Mr. Kramer died Saturday, September 9, 2017. Born in Summerville, SC, he was a son of the late Isadore Kramer and Irma Katsoff Kramer. He was an Assistant Sales Manager at Breakthru Beverage, formerly known as Ben Arnold Beverage Company, and later retired in 2002 due to medical reasons. He served in the Army Reserve, Summerville Jaycees, and also served two terms on the Summerville Town Council. An avid fan of Gamecock football, baseball and basketball, he also loved old movies and spending time with his family.



Surviving are his wife, Janet P. “Jan” Kramer; daughter, Melissa Dawn Kramer; sister, Roslyn Haller of Charleston; two nephews, David Haller of Charleston and Adam Haller of Raleigh, NC; niece, Aviava Hoffman of Atlanta, GA; cousins, Beryle Jaffe and Marcie Baker; fur babies, Doodlebug and Tillie; and three granddogs.



In addition to his parents, he was also predeceased by his brother, Marvin Bernard Kramer.
