Samuel was born on April 24, 1921 and passed away on Sunday, March 11, 2018.

Samuel was a resident of Ohio at the time of passing.

He was born in Alliance, April 24, 1921, a son of the late Clarence and Mary (Shaffer) Kalkman, graduated from Lehman High School in 1939, enlisted in the U. S. Army Air Force, and served as a Corporal in Headquarters and Headquarters Squadron in the 7th Air Force in Okinawa.

Services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. in the Lamiell Funeral Home with Rev. Gary A. Smith, Celebrant, officiating. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery with Military Honors.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Sam's memory may be made to the American Cancer Society because of his granddaughter, Tricia Kalkman.
