SANDRA CROW KNEIPP passed away peacefully on January 3, 2018, at the age of 68. Born in San Francisco, CA, she is predeceased by parents Inez Bordelon and Elton Crow, and by stepfather Anthony Bordelon. Sandy is survived by husband, Kenneth, children Rebecca Knight (Michael) of New Orleans and Stephanie Henricks (Michael) of Southlake, Texas, and by grandchildren Daniel Henricks and Katherine Knight. She is also survived by sisters Rita Brown (Richard) and Vivian Myers (William).

Sandy lived her early years in Marksville, LA and met Ken when they were together at LSU. The two quickly became inseparable best friends and were lifelong partners. They were blessed with a very full and happy 47 year marriage, living for many years and raising their family in St. Paul, Minnesota, but returning home to New Orleans following retirement.

Sandy’s love for and devotion to her family was her defining characteristic, but that love extended far beyond family to almost everyone she met. Though never one to attract attention to herself, her gentleness, compassion, generosity, and selfless acts of kindness toward others were evident throughout her life. She displayed uncommon strength and courage in the face of illness, upheld by her unshakeable Christian faith. Her life truly serves as a positive example and an inspiration to all who knew her.

A memorial service celebrating Sandy’s life will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, January 12, 2018 at St. Charles Avenue Presbyterian Church, 1545 State Street, New Orleans, LA. Visitation at the church will begin at 1:00 PM.
