Heart Emblem

Sandra Jean O'Leary, aged 69, died on October 28, 2017 in Pittsburgh, PA after a courageous battle with cancer. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter and son-in-law, Libby and Chris Pearsall; her son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Emily Williams; her step-son and daughter-in-law, Rhett Cherkin and Katie Kenyon; and her partner, Eugene Pietosi. Sandy was born on December 23, 1947 in Wilkinsburg, PA, to Joseph and Vera Jean O'Leary. She is survived by her partner and children; as well as her sisters, Judy O'Leary Mercer and Karen O'Leary Powell; her brothers, Dennis, Tim, and Michael O'Leary; and numerous nieces, nephews and grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents; her daughter, Rebecca Cherkin; and her brothers David and Patrick O'Leary.
Sandy was a dedicated mother to her children, enjoyed volunteering at her children's school and was a doting grandmother. Sandy treasured her grandchildren and loved having them over for visits and sleepovers and taking them on outings. At her request, no service will be held. The family is grateful for the outpouring of love, thoughts and prayers during these last weeks.
