On July 13th, 2017 Sandra Lee Sands Brossier went to the arms of the Lord. She was born in Miami, Florida on the 13th of March, 1943 and was predeceased by her parents Landrum and Nancy Sands and a brother William (Sandy) Sands. She was taken by complications of COPD and a fall. Surviving are her brother Michael Sands of Miami and four generations all living on contiguous property in southern Greenville county. Her husband of 53 years John, son Kelly, daughter Michelle, grandson Cody and great grandson Jon Bryan. Sandra and John moved the family from Miami to Greenville in 1974.

Five lives now have an enormous hole in their heart but are sustained by the sure and certain knowledge that God's promise is true and we will meet again. Sandra was a magnet for those with a need. She touched many lives and deeply. She was the epitome of a wife, homemaker, friend, councilor and when required, a doctor. She never raised her voice in anger and would always tell you the truth even if was painful to hear. She touched the heart of everyone who knew her and will be sorely missed.

While Sandra enjoyed crafts, crocheting and antiques, her greatest joys were derived from her family.

She feared death only in that aspect that would remove her from us but she also knew we would be reunited. She understood the meaning of Longfellow's words.

"Life is real, Life is earnest But the grave is not it's goal. Dust thou art, to dust returneth Was not spoken of the Soul"

Rest in Peace thou good and faithful servant.

All four generations of the Brossier family will receive visitors at 2 PM, Sunday, July 23 at the Mackey Mortuary.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to either St. Francis Hospital Downtown or the McCall Hospice House in Simpsonville.
