Of Jackson, MI went home to be with her Lord, Sunday, November 27, 2016 at Henry Ford Allegiance Hospital, at the age of 59. Sara was the daughter of James and Nancy (Dawley) Pearson, born March 13, 1957 in Plainfield, NJ. She is survived by her loving husband, Steve, of 37 years; daughter, Courtney; sister, Nancy; brother, Russ; numerous aunts, uncles, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents. She was a graduate of Ridge High School in Basking Ridge, NJ and Hood College in Frederick, MD. She was a preschool teacher, the last 22 years at Jack and Jill Preschool. One of her biggest loves in life was teaching, where she touched hundreds of children's lives. She enjoyed gardening, Detroit Tigers baseball and Detroit Red Wings hockey. A celebration of her life will be held at Watson Funeral Chapel in Jackson on Friday, December 2 at 11:00 am, Pastor Brad Foster officiating. According to her wishes, cremation will follow. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.

Visitation will be Thursday, December 1 from 4:00-8:00 pm and Friday, December 2 from 10:00 am to the time of service.
