Sarah was born on April 4, 1934 and passed away on Sunday, September 3, 2017.

Sarah was a resident of Pagosa Springs, Colorado at the time of passing.

She was a graduate of Central High School in Sheboygan, WI and received a BA in Fine Art, studied with Dean Meaker, from University of Wisconsin, Madison in 1956.

Sarah met Jim (Francis James) Bassett Sr. a US Air Force Test Pilot stationed at Truax Field Madison, WI, while attending the University of Wisconsin, Madison and they were married in 1958, with a reception at her family home, "Apple Tree Farm", Sheboygan Falls, WI.

Celebration of life for Sarah Miley Basset will be held at her art studio in Pagosa Springs on Meadows Drive, starting at 1:00 pm, Saturday September 9, 2017.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in her name to Pagosa Springs Center for the Arts.
