Sarah Belle Kauffman, age 97, of Russellville, died Thursday, September 15, 2016 at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center. She was born August 7, 1919 in Delaware County, Oklahoma to William Eli and Clara Rebecca Edwards Wolfe.
She was a pastor's wife and was very knowledgeable on the Bible and could beat anyone in Bible trivia. In 1940 she was diagnosed with polio. Despite her diagnoses she persevered and was always cheerful and upbeat. Sarah loved to garden, was very lively and loved to play games.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Glenn W. Kauffman; two sons, Rex and Roy Kauffman; and eight brothers and sisters.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Ronald and Carol Kauffman; a daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca and Pete Ellison; 13 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, September 23, 2016 at Bible Baptist Church with the Rev. Jason Walcott officiating. Burial will be in East Point Cemetery near Russellville and under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville.
Visitation will be Thursday evening from 5:00-6:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
