Sarah Kitchens, age 82, of Russellville, died Thursday, May 18, 2017, at Mitchell's Nursing Home. She was born July 14, 1934, in Waldron, to Miles and Jeff Rogers Dozier.
She attended First Cumberland Presbyterian Church where she was a Sunday school teacher. She assisted with Meals on Wheels and was a volunteer at Arkansas Hospice when the new facility opened. She enjoyed golfing, trout fishing and playing with her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Kitchens Sr.; her brother, Knox Dozier and her sister, Eloise Lankford.
Survivors include her two sons and daughters-in-law, Buzz and Susan Kitchens of Russellville and Jeff and Shelly Kitchens of Russellville; four grandchildren, Michael, Matt, Marcus and Rush Kitchens; and two great-grandchildren, Lilly and Trey Kitchens.
The funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 23, 2017, at the Shinn Chapel with the Rev. Steve Mosley officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park and under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville.
The family will receive friends Monday evening from 5:00-6:00 p.m., at the funeral home.
