Warner, Stephen “Steve” Michael.

Born October 2, 1946 in Mesa, Arizona. Died July 10, 2017 at Suncoast Hospice in Palm Harbor, Florida. He resided in Clearwater, Florida.

Steve is survived by his wife of nearly 45 years, Kathleen Timmons Warner; his son, Jacob Warner, and daughter-in-law, Adrienne Wood Warner; daughter, Michelle Warner Smith, and son-in-law, Mike Smith; his sisters, Kathleen Warner Hutchison & Cheryl Warner; his brothers-in-law, Rick Timmons, Dean Ritchison and Gregory Hutchison, and by many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Steve was the very proud Grandpa of his four “wild men”; Aiden Warner, Caleb McGuire, Liam Warner, and Tommy-Nolan Smith.

He was predeceased by his sister, Gwen Warner Williams (1996) and by his daughter, Stephanie Kathleen Warner (2000).

The son of US Air Force Senior Master Sergeant, Boyd E. Warner, and Mary Naomi Foster Warner, Steve and his sisters lived in six states, including Hawaii, during his childhood before settling in Saint Petersburg, Florida. He served as an engineer on a US Army boat stationed on the Mekong River during the Viet Nam war.

Steve owned and operated Steve Warner Contracting, serving the greater Tampa Bay area for over 40 years. He enjoyed playing harmonica and sailing aboard The Lucky Kathleen.

The family extends our deepest gratitude to the nursing and patient care staff of the Witt 3 ward of Morton Plant Hospital and to the nurses, doctors, patient care techs, and social workers at Suncoast Hospice Care Center in Palm Harbor for the excellent care, empathy and support they provided to the Warner Family.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Monday, July 17th at 10:30a.m. at Sylvan Abbey United Methodist Church, located at 2817 Sunset Point Road in Clearwater.
