Steven "Freedom" John Mitchell, age 58, passed away peacefully from natural causes at his home in Marshfield on Monday September 12th. He was born in Weymouth on October 7, 1957, but lived most of his life in Plymouth. Steven was the son of the late Elmer and June (Blackwell) Mitchell. He was the loving grandfather of Casey Lynn Medeiros. He also leaves behind his daughters Kellie Mitchell of Kingston, and Kaitlyn Mitchell of Buzzards Bay, his brother; Paul Mitchell, his sisters; Michelle Mitchell, Sherry Langill and her husband Ed, as well as many nieces and nephews. Steven was a retired carpenter and an aspiring rock star. He loved jamming on his "Geetar", camping, the beach, and spending time with his two daughters and his beloved granddaughter. A visitation will take place at the Davis Funeral Home, 373 Court St. Plymouth, on Saturday, September 17th, from 10:00 am till 12:00 pm. Followed by a service in the funeral home at 12:00 pm. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations in Steven's memory may be made to the Cartmell-Davis Funeral Home, 373 Court St. Plymouth MA 02360.
