Mr. Steven Ronald Pettite, age 59, of McDonough, Georgia passed away on January 3, 2017. Steve was born in Atlanta, Georgia the son of the late Mable Frances McMullen Pettite and Jesse James Pettite. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Michael Pettite and brother-in-laws, Robbie Brookins and John Wallace.

Steve owned and operated his business Gas Pumps Unlimited. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, telling jokes, laughing, baseball and blackjack. Steve played professional softball when he was younger. He was known for his sense of humor and loving ways.

Survivors are his wife, Lynn Pettite of McDonough; children, Tiffany Jones (Joe Vick) of Forsyth, Erica Owens (Ryan) of Red Lion, PA, Noelle Mobley of McDonough, Jenny Jones (Becky Hester) of Atlanta, and Erin Jones (Cory) of Boulder City, NV; grandchildren, Jacob Owens, Tyler Mobley, Macy Owens, Lily Owens, Tanner Mobley and Olivia Mobley; siblings, Faye Moore (Buddy) of Lakemont, GA, Gail Wallace of Sharpsburg, Linda White (Harry) of St. Simons Island, GA, Jesse Pettite (Sherry) of Dunwoody, and Jackie Brookins of Midway, GA; many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews; and friends, too many to count.

A Memorial Service of Steve will be held on Sunday, January 8, 2016 – 11:00 AM in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home with Scott Pettite officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. For those who wish in lieu of flowers, because of his love for animals and children donations may be made to Noah’s Ark, 712 LG Griffin Road, Locust Grove, GA 30248.
