Sue Richardson, 78, passed away on Sunday, March 19,2017. Sue was born March 24, 1938, to Elven and Doshie Jones in Arkansas. She graduated from Roosevelt High School in Lubbock, TX, and South Plains Junior College in Levelland, TX. Sue worked in several fields including accounting, insurance, and social work, always enjoying learning new things. She was especially fond of her last job before retirement, helping the elderly as they navigated the complications of the Medicare benefits. Sue's greatest passion was always her family. She married Albert Jackson Roberts in 1959, and he preceded her in death in 1972. She married Donald Richardson in 1981, and they were blessed with a wonderful marriage, worshipping and serving at Pioneer Drive Baptist Church. Sue was a dear and loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She also enjoyed close and special relationships with her siblings and extended family. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren knew her as Granny and always looked forward to the little treasures she would have tucked away for them in her purse. Sue was a gifted cook and mastered many crafts and hobbies. The custom Christmas stockings she knitted for her family are some of their most special remembrances of her. Proceeding her in death were her first husband, her parents, and her siblings Elva Franklin and Bobby D Jones. Left to cherish her memory are her husband Don; her daughters Becca Hibbs (Scott) and Sara Voller (John); her grandchildren Jordan Hibbs (Katy), Caroline Hibbs, Tyler Voller (Jackie), Grace Zalesak (Collin), and Lucy Voller; her great-grandchildren Henry and Samuel Hibbs, and Dylan Voller: her sisters Gay Smith and Wynnie Finch; her aunt Jennie Lou Murphy; and several nieces and nephews. Sue was a blessing to all who knew her. Her unselfish, caring, and tender spirit will be greatly missed.
