On Tuesday, May 9, 2017, Patricia Finley of Washington, D. C., passed away at the George Washington University Hospital. Ms. Finley was born on November 29, 1939 in Winchester, VA. The daughter of the late Floyd R. Finley II and Nancy Green Finley. She graduated from Anacostia High School in Washington D. C. She worked as a civil servant for the Department of Defense for 47 years, retiring in January 2014.
Patricia participated in church services on the Howard University campus at Rankin Memorial Chapel.
Patricia is survived by her sister, Gloria Dendy Johnson of New Castle, Delaware and many beloved nieces, nephews and cousins. One sister, Jean C. Jones and two brothers, Floyd R. Finley III and Robert Irvin Finley, preceded her in death.
A celebration of life will be held at noon on Tuesday, May 23rd, at Snowden Funeral Home, 246 N. Washington Street, Rockville, MD. Viewing will begin at 11:00am. Interment will be at a later date.
