Mrs. Teresita Sta. Rosa Villanueva, age 70, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Tuesday, September 26, 2017 in Lewisville, TX. Known by friends and family as Tess or Tessie, she was born and raised in Meycauayan, Bulacan, Philippines. She finished college (BSBA, CPA) at the University of the Philippines in Diliman QC. She is survived by her loving husband of over 46 years, Atty. Angelino Z. Villanueva; her 6 children: Ann Devera (Rhodian), Catherine Bigler (David), Joyce Bertulfo (Louis), Francis Villanueva (Leah), Steven Villanueva (Carol), and Alwyn Villanueva (Mayra); her 14 grandchildren: Adrian, Angelica, Nicholas, Anthony, Randal, Christopher, Alec, Annabelle, Victoria, Addison, Reagan, Doniven, Carina, and Rex; and her siblings: Cristina, Erlinda, Eduardo, and Lourdes.

Teresita spent her life dedicated to raising her family as they moved from the Philippines, to Cincinnati, OH, to Caracas, Venezuela, to Coral Springs, FL, to Orlando, FL, and to Lewisville, TX. She was a devout Catholic who led with love, and raised the family to live by the values of their faith. Beyond her own family, she wanted to give back to the communities she called home by helping the underprivileged children. She donated a school building in Bulacan and was actively helping Mano Amiga, a school for socially gifted children who lack financial means to complete schooling.

Teresita doted and showered her children and grandchildren with love and was always there for any help they needed. She was a sentimental mother and wife, and surrounded herself with all the things that had memories attached to them. Most recently, she shared her first gift from her husband – a ring engraved with “I love you” and dated December 1966 as a symbol of the beginning of their loving relationship – holding on to it for their 50+ years of being together.

Teresita was loved and adored by her family and friends. She will be sorely missed.
