Terry Howe Thomas of Fort Collins, CO died on March 29, 2011 at the Medical Center of the Rockies surrounded by loved ones. He was born on July 22, 1934 in Kansas City, KS, to Fred Chester and LaDona (Howe) Thomas. Terry owned Thomas Insurance Agency in Kansas City, KS from 1967 – 1987. In 1987, he and his wife Tammy moved to Estes Park, CO where they lived for 17 years. In 1990, Terry and Tammy established Teram Co. Inc, a wholesale sales distribution co. Seven years ago they moved to Fort Collins, CO. He served in the U.S. Army from 1956-1958. Terry was proud to be a member of the Old Granddad Club. He and Tammy attended Timberline Church in Fort Collins. Terry enjoyed country western music, traveling, spending time in Palm Desert, CA and many trips back to Kansas City to visit family and friends. He especially loved spending time with his daughters, grandchildren, other family members and a large array of friends.He had a wonderful sense of humor and will be remembered, missed, and loved by all who were fortunate to have been in his life. The family would like to give special thanks to the caring doctors and staff at the ICU Cardiac Care Unit at MCR. He is survived by his wife, Tammy Thomas; daughters, Missy (Ric) Johnson of Overland Park, KS and Marlo (Todd) Rhea of Fort Collins; grandchildren, Dustin and Lindsey Johnson and Maile and Taylor Rhea; a brother Tim (Masako) Thomas of Las Vegas, NV; a brother-in-law, Don (Linda) Pearce of Leawood, KS; sister-in-law, Kathy (Javier) Valencia of Overland Park, KS; life-long friends, Al "Bud" and Eva Grauberger; numerous nieces and nephews; and many friends. Visitation will be held 10:00 – 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 1, 2011, followed by a Celebration of Life at 10:30 a.m. at Resthaven Funeral Home. The family requests that instead of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the M.C.R. Foundation or to Timberline Church in care of Resthaven Funeral Home, 8426 S Hwy 287, Fort Collins, CO 80525.
