Centerville-Msgt Terry J. Shannon USAF (Ret), 58, passed away Wednesday January 4, 2012. Funeral Services will be held on Sunday January 8, 2012 at 2:00PM in the chapel of Heritage Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Parkway Memorial Gardens. The Reverend Duanne Fernandez will officiate. The family will receive friends on Sunday one hour prior to service from 1:00PM to 2:00PM. Mr Shannon was born on March 2, 1953 in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania to the late Leroy Eugene Shannon and Mary Lucille Neisslein. Mr Shannon proudly served our country in the United States Air Force for twenty three years before retiring. After retiring from the Air Force he went to work at Robins Air Force Base civil service where he was a Transportation Operations Specialist for seventeen years. Mr Shannon was preceded in death by his stepfather Virgil A. Neisslein. Survivors : Loving Wife of Thirty Four years Tiang Shannon of Centerville; Daughter Mary Shannon of Centerville; Mother Mary Neisslein of Summerville SC.; Grandson Landon Yarnell of Centerville; Brothers Virgil J. Niesslein (Pam) of North Charleston SC. Kim Shannon (Lori) of Moon Township of PA , Joseph Niesslein (Marissa) of Moon Township PA, Robin Shannon (Margaret) of Summerville SC. Heritage Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements
