Terry O. Dassler, 62, Rothschild, died Thursday, September 15, 2016 at his home with his family by his side.
Terry was born January 14, 1954 to Otto and Florence (Ramthun) Dassler in Wausau. He married Merry Jakubowski on May 3, 1975 in Schofield. He graduated from D. C. Everest High School in 1972. He was a long-time member of St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church in Schofield. Terry was formerly employed by Zimpro/Siemans as a welder for many years.
He was an exceptionally loving husband, father, and grandfather. Always looking out for his daughters' needs. His greatest pleasure was spending time at their cabin, deer and turkey hunting. He also enjoyed coaching his daughters' softball teams and taking them tubing in the summer.
Survivors include his wife, Merry Dassler; two daughters Michelle (Adam) Westfall of Coon Rapids, MN and Jackie (Corey) Lewandoski of Apple Valley, MN; two grandchildren Kenzie Westfall and Mason Lewandoski; his mother Florence Dassler of Rothschld; and a sister Ellen (Ben) Heinzen of Phoenix, AZ.
He was preceded in death by his father, Otto and nephew, Rodney Heinzen.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, September 19, 2016 at St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1351 South Grand Avenue, Schofield, WI. Rev. Walter Davidson will officiate. Visitation will be from 9:30 am until time of services at the church. Burial will be at Pine Grove Cemetery, Wausau.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Make A Wish Foundation of Wisconsin, 11020 West Plank Court, Suite 200, Wauwatosa, WI 53226.
