Thelma Mae Wolf
Thelma Wolf left this life on May 9, 2017. She lived in Arizona for the last 3 years, near one of her daughters.
Born Thelma Mae Burr, January 2, 1925 in Greensprings, Ohio, she was adopted in 1927 by Egbert and Delia Frail of Temperance Michigan. Thelma attended Temperance High School and graduated as Salutatorian in 1942. After spending a short time at Fort Wayne Bible Institute, she returned to Michigan and married Lawrence William Wolf of Ida, Michigan in 1948. They made their home in Ida for the next 47 years.
Thelma is preceded in death by her husband of 47 years Lawrence Wolf and grandson Brent Kimble. She is survived by 3 children; Sandra Kimble (Thomas) of Anthem AZ, Karen Smith of Gold River CA and Thomas Wolf (Delores) Longview, TX; 5 grandchildren, Kimberly Benton (Jeremy Fox), Ryan Kimble, Kelly Billington (Tim), Jared Wolf and Joshua Wolf (Sarah); and 5 great grandchildren, William Fox, Lindsey Fox, Elijah Wolf, Jonah Wolf and Megyn Billington.
Thelma worked for Toledo Scales in Toledo, Ohio for 20 years. She was an active member of First Baptist Church, Temperance, Michigan, now Bridgepoint Church, for more than 70 years. She later attended Temperance Missionary Alliance Church. Thelma loved to sew, quilt, paint, travel with her husband, and spend time with her family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to your local Hospice organization.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of her Life June 3rd, 3:00 - 5:00 pm at the Legacy Golf Club; 7677 US-223; Ottawa Lake, Michigan.
