Thelma May Hale, age 82 of Monette, died Sunday, May 21, 2017 at her sons home near Monette. Born in Bemis, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late John and Ludy Givins Storey and was raised in western Tennessee and southeast Missouri. She and her late husband, Hillard Hale, had lived in Blytheville before making their home in Leachville in 1972. Thelma had worked as a produce packer during harvest season and was later employed by Teleflora. Following retirement she loved gardening, canning, and quilting. She had lived in Monette since 2012 and was of the Pentecostal faith. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a son, Ronald Hale.

She is survived by 3 sons;
Donald Hale (Elizabeth) of Monette
James Hale of Jonesboro
Richard Hale (Joyce) of Monette

1 brother, Frank Storey of Steele, Missouri

She also leaves 9 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 11 a. m. Thursday in the Howard Funeral Service Chapel at Leachville with Rev. Raymond Britt officiating. Burial will follow in Dogwood Cemetery in Blytheville.
