Theodore "Ted" Clinton McSwain went to his eternal home on November 28, 2017 after a very long battle with cancer.

Ted was born on September 7, 1946 and raised in Dayton, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents, Donna Genevra Moon McSwain and Harry Smiley McSwain both Ohio natives.

Ted is survived by his wife Stacy Komraus McSwain. He's also survived by their daughter Julia McSwain Haney and two special grandchildren Clinton and Breanna Haney, his brother Reynold McSwain (Mary) of Fairborn, OH, his sisters, Karen Williams (Harry) of Vidalia, OH, Kathryn Veatch (Robert) of Fairborn, OH and Donna Colwell (William) of Riverside, OH and numerous nieces and nephews.

Ted was a retired machinist having worked for Allied Signal/Honeywell for many years prior to his illness forcing his retirement. He loved to fish and would drop almost anything at a moment's notice to go to the lake. Ted was an avid pet lover and was rarely without a pet, he was especially partial to dogs. He always said he wished he had a large farm so he could take all the animals out of the local shelter.

Ted served in the US Army. He was proud of his service both here and overseas. Ted was a lifetime member of the Sons of Confederate Veterans.

In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to your favorite local animal shelter or rescue.
