Theresa was born on March 10, 1926 and passed away on Sunday, September 10, 2017.

Theresa was a resident of Huntsville, Alabama at the time of passing.

A native of Mobile, Alabama, she graduated from the University of Alabama with a degree in Accounting.

She retired from the U.S. Army Strategic Defense Command after 36 years of federal service.

Theresa was a long-time member of St. Mary of the Visitation Parish where she sang in the adult choir. She was preceded in death by her parents, Theodore A. Henken and Josephine Amelia L. Henken; and brothers, Theodore F. Henken, Sr. and Victor T. Henken, Sr. Viewing will be held on Wednesday, September 13, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Laughlin Service Funeral Home (2320 Bob Wallace Ave SW, Huntsville, AL.) with Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Interment will be in Catholic Cemetery, Belforest, AL. Theresa's funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Mary Church of the Visitation at 11:00 a.m. on September 14, with Father Bill Kelley presiding, and Father Mike Mac Mahon and Father Joe Lubrano as concelebrants.

With music being a lifelong passion, memorial contributions may be made to the Huntsville Music Study Club (Attn: Peggy East, 2811 9th Ave SE, Huntsville, AL, 35805) which sponsors scholarships for aspiring musicians.
