Thomas Anton Kronenberger was born in Bryan, Texas on August 3, 1929, to parents Anton and Catherine (Bielamouricz) Kronenberger. He passed away in Houston, Texas on Sunday, March 19, 2017, at the age 87

Thomas went through the 10th grade, then went to work to help his family where he learned baking. He would later complete his schooling by attaining his GED. He joined the New Jersey Air National Guard and was soon placed into active duty for the United States Air Force from 1951 - 1953 in Newfoundland, where he continued his baking skills.

Following his discharge from the service, Thomas hauled tanker trucks for Graham Oil Co. During his employment at Graham, he met and married his wife of 60 years, Ida. Tom later returned to what he enjoyed most, baking and began a long career with Mrs. Baird's Bakery. He retired from Mrs. Baird's in 1992 at the young age of 63.

Always good with his hands, he became an expert at woodworking making beautiful furniture, swings, and rocking horses for children. Tom and Ida also enjoyed going to wide open destinations in their travel trailer. They enjoyed square-dancing and round-dancing, and met many of their friends through their travels. Tom liked fishing, piddling around the house doing "honey-do" stuff for Ida. He loved playing cards and dominoes, and was often too lucky at drawing the card he needed, so much so, that it was called a "Tommy draw". He also loved his grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with his family.

Thomas is survived by his brother, Louis Kronenberger of Forth Worth. His daughter, Karen Rauschuber & her family Edward (husband), daughter (Sarah), son (Marc). He has one great-grandson (Andrew). He has two step-sons, Daniel Slayton and his daughter Lynn, and Steven Slayton. His nephew, Billy Joe Przyborski, he thought of as a son as well.
