Thomas was born on May 31, 1937 and passed away on Tuesday, August 1, 2017.

Thomas was a resident of Plum Borough, Pennsylvania at the time of passing.

He was a graduate of Central Catholic High School in Pittsburgh and went on to attend Georgetown University, where he studied military science and became a commissioned officer upon graduation.
