Thomas was born on August 12, 1934 and passed away on Thursday, June 15, 2017.

Thomas was a resident of Tennessee at the time of passing.

He served in the Army and was a veteran of Vietnam earning the Bronze Star w/ Oak Leaf Cluster, Meritorious Service Medal, Army Occupation Medal w/ Ger Clasp, Good Conduct Medal, Army Commendation Medal w/ 1 Oak Leaf Cluster, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, National Defense Service Medal w/ 1 Oak Leaf Cluster, Vietnam Service Medal, and the Vietnam Campaign Medal w/ Device 60.

A memorial service will be held on Monday at 2PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Lyndall Probst officiating. An inurnment will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens with military honors provided by the Herbert Griffin American Legion Post 19. A visitation will also be held on Monday from 11AM-2PM at the funeral home.
